Yacht Rock Revue at Georgia Theatre

Yacht Rock Revue brings its polished, high-energy tribute to 1970s and 1980s soft rock to Georgia Theatre in Athens, Georgia, on February 26, 2027. The Atlanta-formed band began in 2007 with a cover performance that grew into a regular residency, then developed into a national touring act known for faithful arrangements, playful stagecraft, and audience sing-alongs.

The show celebrates the smooth sounds associated with artists such as Christopher Cross, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Toto, and Steely Dan. Familiar songs in the group's rotating setlists include “Sailing,” “Ride Like the Wind,” “What a Fool Believes,” “Africa,” and “Footloose.” Expect a lively concert atmosphere, period-inspired outfits, and nautical touches. The band also released its first album of original material, Hot Dads in Tight Jeans, in 2020, though its live shows primarily feature covers.

The group has performed more than 100 shows a year and has opened for artists including Kenny Loggins, REO Speedwagon, and Train. The Athens date is part of Yacht Rock Revue's national headlining tour. For local fans, the Georgia Theatre places the concert in downtown Athens, a familiar destination for the city's live-music scene. Prices currently start around $40; availability and final prices may vary.

Venue and Seating Information

Georgia Theatre is a well-known downtown Athens concert venue. Seating and standing arrangements can vary by event, so check the ticket details for the configuration offered for this performance. For a high-energy show built around sing-alongs, fans who prefer to be close to the stage may enjoy the more immersive view, while those seeking a less crowded experience may prefer a spot farther back.

Arriving early can help with entry and give you time to get oriented before the performance. Review your ticket for any assigned seating or access information, and confirm venue policies before attending.

Parking Information

Downtown Athens offers a mix of parking options, but availability and rates can change. Consider checking current city parking information and nearby facility details before traveling:

• Look for public parking garages or lots within walking distance of Georgia Theatre; check posted rates, hours, and event restrictions.
• On-street parking may be available nearby, subject to meters, time limits, and posted restrictions.

Allow extra time to find a space, especially around the concert start time. Read all signs carefully and avoid parking in restricted areas or private lots without authorization.
